X3 Saving Test Data

Olympus X3 Saving Test Data

This article addresses saving data on the X3.

To begin
- As soon as a setup file opens, the X3 begins recording data. If an encoder is used, the data gets recorded as the encoder starts moving. If time-based is used, data starts being recorded right away. In time and encoder modes, data is recorded until set distances are achieved.
- If the setup is opened, followed by a calibration on a standard, then testing where recording is needed, just press the play button on the right-hand side of the screen to restart the recording.
- Once recording is completed, press the pause button on the right-hand side of the screen to stop recording. Click on the top setup file name, and a drop-down menu will appear where you can select Save Data.

To review a data file
- Click on the setup file name to open the drop-down menu. Click Open File and select Data type, not Setup type of file. Select the data file you saved earlier and open it.
- This data file will open and can now be accessed like a paused movie. Click on the B scan to control the blue cursor and replay the inspection.
- The A-scan waveform represents the B-scan heat map at the cursor location.
